These terms govern use of cascadevirtual.org, the CXV Portal, and Cascade Virtual Airlines community services. By creating an account or using the services, you agree to these terms and the Code of Conduct.

Entertainment service only

Cascade Virtual is a fictional, volunteer-run virtual airline for flight-simulation entertainment. It is not an air carrier, flight school, dispatch authority, or source of real-world aviation guidance. Portal, route, weather, aircraft, performance, and dispatch information must never be used for real-world flight planning or operations.

Eligibility and accounts

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and promptly report suspected compromise. One person should not operate multiple accounts without staff approval. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

Acceptable use

You may not bypass security, probe systems without written permission, falsify flight records, automate abusive requests, manipulate progression or virtual currency, impersonate others, distribute malware, interfere with service availability, scrape private data, or use Cascade Virtual to violate law or third-party rights.

Flight records and moderation

PIREP approval, rewards, event credit, bids, ranks, marketplace items, and other virtual benefits are governed by Cascade Virtual rules and automated checks. Staff may review, correct, reject, reverse, or remove records and virtual items when needed for integrity, safety, or error correction. Altitude and all marketplace value are fictional, have no cash value, and cannot be sold or redeemed.

Software and downloads

We grant members a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Portal and provided assets for personal flight-simulation participation. Do not redistribute, sell, reverse engineer where prohibited, remove notices, or present Cascade Virtual assets as your own. Downloaded liveries and scenery must be used consistently with applicable simulator and third-party licenses.

Member content

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant Cascade Virtual a non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, format, and display it as necessary to operate and promote the community. You must have permission to submit it and must remove sensitive or unlawful material.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for rule violations, security risk, abuse, inactivity, or operational necessity. We will use reasonable judgment, but immediate action may be taken to protect members or systems.

Availability and liability

The services are provided “as is” and may change, fail, or be discontinued. To the extent permitted by law, Cascade Virtual and its volunteers disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or data-loss damages arising from use of the services. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Third-party names and services

Cascade Virtual is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any real-world airline, Microsoft, Asobo Studio, iniBuilds, VATSIM, SimBrief, Discord, Supabase, or Netlify. Third-party marks belong to their owners.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms prospectively. Continued use after notice means you accept the revised terms. Questions may be directed to Cascade Virtual staff through the official Discord linked from cascadevirtual.org.
